i got my new 20 gallon tank set up with the aqua clar power filter 200 gph well sad to say two of my frogs legs got stuck in the strainer of the tube i tried to save them but they were already died well i gave my other 2 to my newphew so i saved their life i really liked the dward frogs but my filter is too strong from them i love the aqua clear my water is clear i now have 4 cories and one gold groumi , i want to get 4 ottos later on

if you want to keep dwarf frogs you need to use sponge filters

I guess FishAquarist is right. I have 2 Aqua Clear filters, one on my 30 gallon tank, and the other on my 10 gallon tank, and I have never had any problems with these filters. But then again ... I never had any small critters like snails, shrimp, or frogs. I'm sorry you lost your frog

Other than sucking in small critters ... I think Aqua Clears are great filters.
