Re: HELP ME

Hi NIKOS - It all depends on your budget.

If money is not an option then I would recommend a canister filter or a Wet/Dry trickle filter.

If you want to go the less expensive route, then I would go with a power filter. Power filters do a fairly good job but not as good a job as a canister filter.

Let me know what end up going with.

Good Luck with the new aquarium!

Re: HELP ME

try a power filter with replacable cartridges that hangs on the back of your tank AND a sponge filter as for use in breeder tanks. Sponge filters are inexpensive easily cleaned. With this combination and a regular schedule of partial water changes, your new aquarium should be a success. Good luck

Re: HELP ME

There are so many good filters out there its almost a joy to shop for them
I have three different brands of Hang on The Back (HOB) filters as well as sponge filters.
Gunnie swears by her canister and sponge filters.
So look around and see what fits your needs as well as your finances. Let us know what you choose(we're a curious bunch )
