My tank has been set up for three or so weeks and i have 2 black mollies in the tank. I was noticiing the other day that my tank is smelling terrible. I have tank set up in my bedroom and i was just wondering why was smelling so bad? Could it be because of the biological cycle it is going through?

Welcome to FishLore! What are your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate readings? When my biological filter was destroyed in my oscar tank, and my ammonia went sky high, my water smelled like a sewer. Is this what you are experiencing?

Besides, do you have charcoal or activated carbon in your filter? Maybe it could get rid of the smell. But - as Gunnie has said - it would be best if you could post your readings.
