In my 55 gallon Aquarium I have 2 filters that each one pumps 400 gallons per hour along with a 3foot bubble wand.
I was thinking of shutting down 1 of them(too much noise). Now if I do this what should I do with the bio wheels(has 2) and the 4 filter cartridges. Should I just place the Bio-Wheels inside the Aquarium?
I'm also picking up a bigger tank(150 gallon) and would love to use the filter to start the
nitrogen cycle. I can easily hide the bio-wheels behind plants in the aquarium til I pick up the new aquarium.
I know that I need 550 gallons per hour of circulation for the 55 gallon tank and was just thinking of picking up a smaller filter of 150 gallons per hour.
Any Ideas. Thanks
John
