All 8 of my neons have had their dorsal fins and tails bitten, they are all eriously bitten exept for one whos doesnt seem as bad.

Do you think its any other fish doing this or maybe its fin rot?

One of my clown loaches likes to harrass and kind of swim behind them i dont know if he does nip or something

Any ideas?

Most likely it was the angels, or possibly the loach. Neons are the natural prey of angels. Sometimes keeping the two in the same tank works out, but most times it doesn't.

See I am having the same problem in my tank, but it is the angels fins and a coulple of my plattys that have had it happen to them and teh neons are ok. I was under the impresion that the neons are fin nippers and because of there size the bigger fish do not find them as a threat and ignore them.

My experience with Redtail Sharks sharing tanks with Neons points to your Redtail as being the likely suspect.. they are, more often than not, likely to go after smaller tankmates.

Again I woke up this morning and the neons had again been damaged this time some of them are missing half a tail and fins ect.

They are still eating and swimming but it saddens me to look at them in this state not knowing the actual cause, to be honest I think they will be killed next i really hope not but still....

Any suggestions?

Chris you might want to observe your angels(just to be sure) but I would go with the red tail shark also. My clown loaches "whisker" everybody just to move them out of the way but never had them nip anybody. My koi angels have been in the tank with the neons for four years and they haven't bothered the neons at all. They seem to be more laid back than any angel I have ever owned.
Since their fins are damaged you want to make sure your water is as close to perfect as you can get it to prevent and disease. Maybe an extra water change a week until they are better. I'm a great beliver in clean water to prevent disease.

It seems as though one of my firemouth cichlids is attacking all my other fish my angels neons ect..

I tried to get him out the tank before as a friend said he would give him a good home in his 50 gallon but i cant get the bugger..hes very fast and keeps swimming into hhis cave now i lift the cave up and hes not there...How do i get him outta there?

Awoke this morning to the greeting of half a neon with a rummy missing, the firemouth attacking everything and anything.
I dont understand the tank is waaaaaaay big enough for him and the other firemouth i have is very peaceful.

I really do need to get this fish out, he can live in my quarentine tank for now how on earth do i catch this fish who as soon as the nets go in he swimsso fast into his cave.
I know i should lift the cave up ect but i dont want to stress my fish out too much.

Any suggestions :P

Chris it's gotten way past not wanting to stress your fish by lifting his cave. The neons are more stressed than he will ever be. Need to get him out of there even if you have to chase him a bit. Stress lowers the immune system, much more and you may have a disease outbreak.
