What you can get for a 10 gallon tank is some small fish because a 10 gallon tank is very small. Though you could have 1
betta in a 10 gallon tank (don't know what fish go with a Betta in a 10 gallon tank - Chickadee will know for sure). Angelfish grow way too large for a 10 gallon tank - I'd advise at least a 30 gallon tank for angelfish.
If you want barbs (and you have to have some small fish), you can have cherry barbs - they're both small and really beautiful fish. They're the only peaceful barbs in the barbs group. Other small, peaceful, and beautiful fish are neons, zebra danios (though zebra danios need more room than a 10 gallon tank since they swim very fast), harlequin rasboras, + many other small tetras. You can research them online.
If you're not familiar with the cycle, please read about it before you set up your tank and get any fish. You can find lots of beginner's information on Fish Lore. NEVER buy fish the same day that you buy your tank. You need to cycle your tank FIRST. You'll need a
test kit as well. Ask if you have any questions.
