There's this weird stringy stuff stuck to one of my plants and part of the tank wall...part of it looks a bit ragged and billowy but another part looks almost like a tiny almost invisible string of beads. What on Earth is it I'm going to simply remove it and give my tank a vacuuming unless it's something harmless, which I frankly doubt.

My snail seems to have eaten it, but I think you are right. I rarely get any visible amount so I'll probably do a good vacuuming today anyway. Thanks very much for the links!
