i was wondering if it was ok to give my oscar a small piece of cooked chicken once in a while, i did give him a tiny piece yesterday and he loved it, but dont want to give him more if its not good for him, thanks .

That's fine. The general rule is if humans can eat it, so can your fish, but I would not feed them anything with a lot of spices in it. Also, make sure you continue to feed your oscar a variety of foods to keep him healthy.

Thanks for reply Gunnie, Oxxie wont eat flakes or pellets, i have tried many different ones, he eats blood worms, beefheart, grasshoppers and crickets(small ones) occasional worms if i can find them in the garden, meal worms, dried shrimp, cooked shrimp sometimes, flies yuck... small caterpillars, little cooked chicken , little cooked fish, even though i bought the same pellets that the lfs had fed him, when he got home he wouldnt eat them, any suggestions as to any other things i can give him to eat? is his diet ok? i do know he should eat his flakes but try teeling him that lol, thanks so much for all the advice you have given me already, this site is ace
