Im trying to figure out how many danios are neede3d to make them feel secure. Does that make sence? i hear at least 3 then 5 then more than 7. Im lost i have 5 but they seperate and dont school together. also i know they are top swimmer but what is classified as top? these danios are swimming less than a centimeter fromt he top of the water and you cant even see them LOL will they get better as the are more confortable in the tank?

I have found that no fish that i have owned has ever schooled they always split up and go around on there own.. unless there is a big fish in the tank witch scares them into formation.

I would say 7 danios to help them feel secure and the bigger the amount the cooler they look.

I have about 12 Danios.they all hang together about 10 neons they stick together, 6 Black tetra they hang..two corys who are inseperable and 4 Cherry barbs hang 2 and 2 oh and 6 Blue (kerri) tetras who hang with the Danios.

ok i now have 4 zebra, 2 gold, and 2 blue danios and they are swimming around like they are freakin nuts. are they on speed? i get a head ache jsut looking at them LOL

that is why I don't keep crazy swimming fish like danios, I try to keep for peaceful reserved fish. danios argue all day
