Very true, even though mine were find with serpae tetra two years ago i just read a complaint in this forum about them being fin nippers. get some daino or tetra... they are very nice schooling fish, and its sad to say that your dwarf frog will not be too active, so my opinion, your going to need some movement in your tank to make it entertaining. im sure black skirt tetra, neon tetra, phantom tetra, leopard daino, glofish even are very peaceful and also active. other species are surely great but remember you have a 10gal so id stay with a fish that remains under 2"...

With the ten gal I'd say go heavily planted and add some Cory's or ottos, then once they're settled in go for a Betta. You could even put a Betta in by himself and he'd likely not mind. My female Betta loves it when she gets to "visit" the ten gal tank. (Some sort of emergency requiring her's.) However she's happy to have company in there to.

ok i think i want dwarf gourami, some zebra danios, and some neon tetras. can i d0 that and what kind of configuration in a 10 gallon?

Ummmm.... I'm not an expert but I think that you could do a dwarf with either the neon of the zebra schools... However I've never had any of those fish so hopefully someone who knows for sure will be able to help you out on here soon.

A ten gallon is just fine for a betta. My Betta is in a ten gallon with a couple of corys. Just make sure its has lots of plants and a couple of caves in it. My betta loves to swim through the plants.

Id go for TWO bettas, then use a piece of plastic mesh as a home made divider (find details in the DIY section) One betta would do fine in 10G, but might not make use of the space, and i think we all know, two is better than one. just remember to give each a little bit of planting/hiding space
