Intrepidcub

I have 5 tetras and since ive had them maybe month and half or so they dont swim or interact much. They stay along the bottom and mostly jsut suspended and not swimming around. they hang out together. Along in the tank is a pineapple swordtail (he came with the tetras) and a red velvet swordtail and then her babies uuuhg. but when it was the 6 they had the same behavoir. its like the tetras and the pineapple came from battered homes and were beaten. and they are always scared. Im actually thinkin of getting rid of my tropical 10 gallon and taking them to my buddys house and giving them to him he has a 75 gallon tank and 4 tetras But i feel guilty cause his tank isnt heated. and he wont get a heater since hes had these neon tetras for 2 years with goldfish and they seem very happy. I want a tropical tank but i wont be happy tilll i get a bigger tank.

tetras are usually all over the place..what are your water parimeters? sounds like it could be ammonia or high nitrates....
