Aquarium Temps for Bunkins

I got a question about the temp of the aquarium. I know shubunkins are cold water fish but what im wondering is i live in an old house and to help with the heating bill i usually set the thermastat to be bout 62 at night them warm up before we wake up. we also have a Dalmation, rotweiler, and border collie Space heaters in our room so we stay warm ourselves. what im concerned is if the house will get too cold for the bunkins. i already noticed the water temp dropped from the 74 degree average to bout 70 or so.

they are great fishies and can take a large range of temps as long as they arent changed from higher to lower at a fast rate..gradual is fine.....most winter under frozen ponds as long as theres depth to get down to the bottom for some warmth...50's-70's is what ive seen a range of...im sure others have seen more on either side...

Down to 50 should not affect their metabolism.

I have one shubunkin with my other goldfish in my pond. Right now, the pond drops down to 60 to 62 farenheit over night. I'll check the temp around 10 or 11 in the morning and it will still read below 70. I have had them out in the pond for YEARS with the temp dropping low every winter and never lost one to the cold weather.

If there's still a pleco in that tank, though, I think they need normal tropical temps or can get sick. (Just going by your Aquarium Info)
