I'm sure you are all getting sick of these questions but...

OK so the safe start finnally came today YAY!! I have 3 tanks i want to use it on. 3 gallon & 2.5 gallon & 5 gallon I bought the largest bottle they make 250 cc. How would i go about dividing the bottle for each tank. It says it's good for upto 75 gallons. The 5 gallon needs it the most since I have the most fish in there and the bio load is VERY heavy. Also how long should i wait before adding it to the tank since I added prime lastnight to 2 of the tanks.

Than you all so much for your patience!!!

Does the bottle give you a doseage per gallon on it?

My understanding is that Prime only locks up ammonia for 24 hours, so you should be good to add the Safestart tonight.

No the bottle doesn't give a dose per gallon. It says to put the entire bottle into the tank and it's good for upto 75 gallons.

When I used BioSpira (which is the old formula for Safe Start) it said on the package that you could not overdose. So if it were me I would just put 1/3 of a bottle in each of the 3 tanks.

Since one bottle can handle 75 gallons, that would be a dose good enough for 25 per tank, which will definitely be enough for each tank.

BTW 250cc/75 gallons would be 3.33cc per gallon minimum required.

I could have sworn when I read the bottle it said for 10 gallon tanks or larger. But it also said you could not overdose, so I'm clueless. Read the bottle again, and all the fine print and everything.
