It's camallanus worms...and deadly. Get some Jungle Labs medicated food. Research the worm...it has a long life cycle.
Here's my recent experience with them...
My experience with Camallanus worms

All fish need to be treated as it can spread thru a tiny drop of water....if not you will have to euthanize your fish.
C.worms articles...this is a rare but serious parasite.

That is one of the drugs and levimisol, which I cannot get in Canada.

The camallanus worm is a live bearing parasite...no egg stage, born larvae, which is why it is so contagious...you can pass 1000+ larvae in a drop of water.

Camallanus seems to be getting less rare from what I have been seeing. I had it in my guppies and like Allie said the jungle brand anti parasite medicated food seems to be the best thing that is easily available to use against this killer. For mollies you will probably have to crush it up for them to eat as it is very hard . It also is not very tasty so you will have to make sure you don't give in and feed them something else when they turn up their little noses to it. You have to be very carefull with nets and equipment if you have more than one tank...this includes washing your hands very well inbetween tanks and making sure all nets and hoses are cleaned and sterilized between tanks also. If you end up losing the fish then EVERYTHING must be taken down and sterilized or replaced before you restock the tank with fish....sorry if I sound like I am over reacting here but this is necessary to stop the worm and prevent cross/reinfection....good luck.

Yup it is....a whole shipment at our LPS came from China in December. C.worms wiped out the whole cichlid section the keyholes were in. The parasite came from China.

Unfortunatly you bought one of those ( at least...lol) before they wiped out that tank...did the owner believe you when you told them that you got the worm there?? I got my guppy that brought the worm to me at pet(notso)smart and the girl I talked to denied even having that type of guppy even tho I had a reciept with their name and the guppy type on it..I wasn't asking for anything just trying to inform them that they had a killer in their tanks. I have no Idea how many poor people bought fish there that were carrying this problem and still don't know what killed off their fish.

Naw I didn't bother...friends of ours who work at the store told us they do a total bleaching after all illness. I have smelled bleach there before.

I bought mine at petsmart...I think I paid 4-5$ for it....I have seen it at another local pet store to so I think it is easily available. Good to know that you LFS is good about bleaching..I take it they don't have a central filter system either??

EDIT: make sure that you get the stuff that says on the back that it has levimiosole in it...it should also say that it treats camallanus worms...good luck.

Jungle Labs say camallanus worms righton it...my friend had the package back in February before I knew what was happening.
It seem that each section has an individual filtering system but each section is pretty big. BUT lets not go there again...
