Here are some of the fish I'm considering for my new 75g tank. What is your opinion on the compatability of these fish, taking into account temperament and required water conditions, and what other fish could join this community?

Blue Gourami (1-2)
Kribensis (1-2)
Swordtail (1 male)
Bala Shark (3)
Australian Rainbow (1-3)
Boesemani Rainbow (1-3)
Praecox Rainbow (1-3)
Dwarf Gourami (2-6)

Well bala sharks get to be over a foot long and its recommended to have at least a 125g for one, much less three. I don't know about the blue gourami but the dwarf gourami can get very aggressive towards other males of its own kind (but then some aren't, too, its rather individual). Swordtails are shoaling fish and like to be in larger groups. Kribs can be a bit aggressive sometimes, too, as most cichlids are, particularly when they are breeding. They get evil when they breed. The rainbows are very pretty but are shoaling fish that like to be in larger groups as well.

I'd be concerned about the Gouramis - they aren't too friendly normally, especially to their own kind.
The Bala Sharks might be fine full-sized in that tank but I'd be careful not to let them get to be too big. Just make sure you have an alternative home for them within the year as a backup.
The swordtails usually like to be in a group and if you get 2 females to accompany the male, you might just (more like, you WILL) see some babies!

Rainbows are shoaling fish...for their benefit as well as the benefit of the display, I would recommend choosing one favorite species and getting at least 6 or them. As the others have mentioned I don't think you're supposed to keep Gouramis together...and Balas get really big...and Swords need company. If the reason you didn't want female Swords is because you don't want fry, then I think most of the fry should get eaten if you don't try to save them...if that seems cruel to you then maybe you shouldn't get Swords...or just get females with no male.

Considering most standard 75 tanks are four feet long, two feet high and two feet deep a few balas would probably be OK but gouramis are rather aggressive fish, the dwarf variety aren't so aggresive, crib's wou'dnt be that bad, one of the more rather gentle cichlids and the fish would stay out of their territory when they breed since my fish do when my angels breed, and the rainbow fish I would get one or two species and get at least six each and the swordtail as 0morokh said I would get some males or two females and one male .
