clams in an aquarium....

My friend has a 21G tank and was wondering if he could keep clams in the tank with some fish, if he could have fish in the same tank, what would anyone suggest?

I don't know much about them, but www.SnailShop.com sells them and has some info. That's about the only place you can get FW Clams I know of.
