Regent Powerhead??

I have a regent powerhead I bought a long time ago. I remember it was too much movement for my 10 gal, but I have a larger tank now and think it will work well. The problem is, I dont have the instructions and have no clue how to put it in the tank...It doesnt have anything that hangs on the tank and Im not sure if it is submersible...Anyone know anything about these...?

Re: Regent Powerhead??

If it's like mine, it's fully submersible, and it has a suction cup for the side of the tank. The little sliding door on the top of it has like a "knob" on one end that goes into the middle of the back side of the suction cup to hold it in place. Does this sound like yours?

Re: Regent Powerhead??

If it doesn't work like gunnie is talking about check with Marineland for instructions. I believe regent is one of their less expensive brand names.

Re: Regent Powerhead??

Excellent! I have one in my turtle tank with a sponge on the intake for filtration. I don't cycle the tank and have to do a 100% water change on the tank weekly. Turtles are very messy and eat, poop and pee in the water. At least the Red eared sliders do. The set up is excellent for this tank.

Re: Regent Powerhead??

HMMM..do you know about terrariums? My hubby is starting a 55 gallon one (the tank I got for $20 leaks a bit at the top) and he doesnt know too much about them. Just what he has read...

Re: Regent Powerhead??

Not really. I have my turtle in a 29 gal. that is half full of water, some rocks and a "floating" rock for him to bask on.
