Another DG down

Even though I got my Dwarf Gourami from a local breeder it looks like the DNA virus from Singapore got into the local breeders DGs. My DG, Gimli, was alive and well and looking pretty, when out of the blue I found him upside down on the bottom of the tank dead.

So I had 3x Peppered Corys and 1x DG and 1x Platy(rescued). now i have 2 peppered corys and 1x platy. So now i am moving them all to a 10 gallon. is there anything else i can fit in the 10g or is it maxed out?

That stinks! I'd probably not add any fish for a few weeks and watch the corys and platy.

dude, i had the same problem with my DG, he was fine and stuff and then out of the blue...kicked the bucket. Sorry about Gimli . You could get some more platys, or cories. OR you could get 3-4 cherry barbs! they are really fun fish to watch!

I dont think I can fit 3-4 cherry barbs with 2x corys and my platy in a 10g. I was thinking maybe some sort of invert like a cherry shrimp but i dont know.

I am really sorry you lost your dg. I have been trough the same thing... i lost 2 dgs one month from each other (mr. nichols and sparrow) and both my bf and i suffered so much by seeing them die in one day with no explanation.

After the loss i got for my 28gal more platies, guppies, shrimp, and otos... but nothing will ever replace those wonderful babies.

shrimp would be a good option for you since they add almost nothing to the bioload.
