Hmm....What hapened?

Sice I got my fish (1 month today) a few of my Zebra Danios have been, well I suppose I could say 'fat', and they were up until last night. When I woke this morning and watched my fish, I noticed they had all slimmed down to the size of the other Danios. This obviously happened over night, because I didn't notice anything different about them last night when I checked before going to bed. Why has this happened? and why so fast?

Thanks

Re: Hmm....What hapened?

Maybe they were full of eggs. Danios are egg scatteres and as such swim all over the tank scattering eggs. They are also notorious egg eaters. So after scattering they go back and eat If you have enough plants sometines one or two will survive.

Re: Hmm....What hapened?

If they did spawn you can take that as a compliment; from what I know egg scatterers won't spawn in just any conditions.
If you want to try to breed them and raise the eggs, apparently Zebra Danios are some of the best to start with.

Re: Hmm....What hapened?

Thanks Carol and Omorrokh. How would I know if they have scatterd some eggs. What would they look like?
