Suggestions on additions for my tank

I have a 29 gallon tank that Ive had for a few months now. I have 3 black skirt tetras and 4 golden pristella tetras. I wanted to add a few more fish, preferably something that swims near the top because the ones I already have stay mainly towards the bottom and middle. Im just not sure what to get that would work with the fish I already have?
Also- what would be a good bottom feeder that stays small enough to keep in this tank with these fish? I had a chinese algae eater becuase the person at the pet store said they only get about 3 inches long, but quickly realized that she was totally wrong! So I returned him.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi have my black skirts and pristellas in a tank with other kinds of tetras and corys. Corys get about 2.5 to 3 inches and they are great fish. You should keep them in groups of at least 4. You could choose from other kinds of tetras such as glowlights, serpae, black neons, diamond tetras, etc. etc. etc. There are so many kinds out there and they make a nice display of fish when they school inside of your aquarium.

A Bristlenose Pleco would be good or 3 corys. I would complete the tetra schools with 2 more golden pristellas and 3 more black skirts.

Hi!

I'de complete the tetra schools as COBettaCouple says. Then - you might want to add 6 corys and 6 Zebra danios.
