My little cherry barb died today. I was doing a 50% water change today and then when I was put my fake plants back in my tank he had something like a seizure. He was upside down randomly, then when he tried to swim normal he went in circles really fast then he was floating at the top of the tank. I put him in a gladware thing because he fin was still twitching. What could have happened to him?

I'm no expert, but did you prie/treat the water that went into the tank? Did ou notice any bizzare behavior before with that fish or any others.

I didn't put the new water in yet at that time. And i do treat my water.

And i didn't see any weird behavior before.

Is he a new fish? maybe the stress of moving and a water change got to him

I can't think of anything that might have killed him other than perhaps a small toxin pocket in the substrate got released when you were putting the plants in.

That sounds a bit like Swim-bladder disease.
