At petco they are having a $1 dollar per gallon fish tank sale so you can get a 55 gallon tank for only 55 bucks!!!!!!!!!

But is that just the tank? Does it have a hood, filter, stand, heater, etc?

You might want to check on that, otherwise it might not be a really good deal. About 5 minutes away from me there is a used pet store that has all types of used hoods and I was able to get the one for my 37 for about $19.99

yeah its not even worth it really see my parents didn't now what tank to get me so they said i pick it they buy it and to by the hood and lights it would of costeed more then the tank i did get that came with the hood and lights...and they had already bought a filter system and heater...fish tanks are expensive no matter what ..just the main things you need can cost you a fortune ...and some of the starter kits have low quality stuff my 20 gall came in a starter kit and the heater didnt last that long...everything else was ok...i have a bio wheel filter in my 55 and i like it alot more im going ot upgrade my 20s fillter system

Still, it is a good way to feed the MTS. After all there is always room for one more, and we all have extra heaters, and a filter isn't much. We really don't need lights for the first month while the tank is cycling.......

That continuesly gets me into trouble! From jumping into the vehicle and driving 5 hours to look at a used tank, to saying I will work on our "Community Council" , I think more than a can-do-attitude, I just have trouble saying NO! But in the end it also makes life more interesting!
