Re: oscors behaveor

Hi Alan

Welcome to Fishlore.

First off, as a way of disclaimer, let me clarify that I am no expert in either the fish you mention, so my help will be species-generic.

Here's what is recommended in cases of fish aggression:

- examine stocking situation: are fish housed together supposed to be compatible in the literature, and what is the tanks' population density (aka number of inch of fish per gallon of water). If either is looking bad, you need to find a solution to re-house some of the fish. If both are good, read on.
- remove the bully temporarily, and re-arrange the tank, so that he won't be so territorial as he won't recognise the tank as his own anymore
- provide lots and lots of hiding ornaments, not just one. This will prevent the bullying fish from systematically finding his victim
- break the view of the tank with tall plants in the middle, so that the bullied fish is not always visible to the bully

I hope this helps.

Good luck!
