weird creature found inside of my wood.

theres some weird creature hiding in the driftwood thats netted with plants and tied that i bought from LFS and recently because of the frequent games of hide and seek with my cheery shrimp i found something snake and wormy like creature inside the wood, looks quite long white and with some black on it.. any idea what is that and is it of any danger?

Re: weird creature found inside of my wood.

Any way you can get a picture?
Does it look like it has a face? (Specifically, defined eyes or a mouth?)
There are a few eel-like critters, such as the kuhli loach (see this websitehttp://www.aqualandpetsplus.com/Oddb...%20Loaches.htm for a pic).
Or it could be a worm of some sort. If you can see eyes and a mouth, it's a long fish or small eel. If you don't see eyes and a mouth, it's probably a worm.
