HELP HIGH NITRATE & NITRITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had my tank for about 4 weeks and i thought everything was okay but i tested the water and the nitrate and nitrite was through the roof. I double checked and it was the same then i changed about 15% of the water and tested it again and no difference what do i do?

sounds as though you are nearing the end of your cycle, just have to be patient, and your nitrites should start to drop, and your nitrates try and keep below 15ppm

What are we talking about when you say "through the roof"? What were the specific numbers?
