Fish Journal

I set up my 10 gal. at home, last night. Hooked up the bubbler, filter, & heater, and I tested the water. Surprisingly, I remembered to log everything! I'm on Day 1 of my Cycling process, but I'm further than that, really, cuz I added 1 gal of the old tanks water to it, some of the real plants that were in there and the nasty stinky filter cartridge, too (the plants & cartridge are floating free). The water at home is .6 lower in PH than at work so I was even more glad I moved it when I saw that (7.4)! The Ammonia was @ 0 and the Nitrites were between 0 & .25, the Nitrates were .50. Seems ideal for my fish already?!?! The temp was 86.6 so it was rather warm but it had dropped considerably when I checked it this morning. We'll see where its at when I get home. Thanks everyone for all your help and advise! I couldn't have done it without you!!! *MWAH* PS - I also took some pictures, so when I get home, I'll post some.

Re: Fish Journal

Why don't you email Mike for a blog of your very own and you can post stuff like this there.

Re: Fish Journal

I read the post about the blogs but don't quite understand how they work... How can I get ahold of Mike? Thanks for the tip! I posted it here cuz it was so obscure and knew it didn't fit anywhere else. I'd rather it be where I can track day-to-day.

Re: Fish Journal

You can also just post a new thread here. Then make a post about your tanks contents and then you can post after it with your Journal notes.

There's a little work to customizing the blog, but you really have the ability to do as little or as much as you want there so it could be just a matter of setting up some topics and putting pages up with pics, etc.
