In my 7.5gall tank i have a Duetto DJ50 filter, but it doesn't stick to the glass any more. Im going to get a new one and put the one i already have in a Q-tank because it works fine if it is stood on some rocks.

Would it be ok, if i left some of the filter media that is cycled in one filter and take some out to put in the new one, then put some new filter media in both as well. (if that makes sense) Would that make both filters cycled?

I don't think it automatically makes them both cycled, but, its a good start.
