can you over filter? I was told I need 300gph, I wanted a biowheel and could only get 350gph. Am I going to have a prob. (30gal tall)

I don't belive so, but if anything, it would be even cleaner water than with the 300 GPH. But , I would still wait to see what other members would have to say.

My tank is a 30 gal and I use that same filter. Its the best choice I ever made and I regret buing those other filters.

You can overfilter in the sense you have such a current that the fish can't swim but the filter you have is fine.

Funny you mention that. I dont think that it is too much, but it makes my hornwort whirl around. It is kinda pretty. BTW does hornwort grow like crazy... thinking about putting a small sprig in my betta tank.
