hello everyone i wanted to know what size power filter will i need for my 20 gallon tank that i wil be buying tommorrow also what gph should i get i read where someone has said get the bigger filter so if i had a 20 gallon get a power filter for a 40 gallon is this true thanks

Always read the filter's box before you buy the filter. The filter should pump 10 times the volume of your tank per 1 hour. So in your case, you want a filter that pumps at least 200 gallons per hour (GPH). The GPH value should be on each filter's box.

What filter are you thinking of? If you're thinking of an external power filter, I'd strongly suggest Aqua Clear Great filters and so easy to clean.
