I have a Top Fin Power Filter 10 what would be the best way to change my filter Cartridge, withot removing all the good bacteria. ??

I dont know the names of filters but mine is a "hang on the back" filter, I think that is what yours is as well...am i right? What I do is put some extra filter material behind the actual filter cartridge and change them out alternately.

Yes that is what i have. So i just put a piece of filter material behind filter, then when i change filter i leave filter material behind new filter for how long

From what I've read on here, as long as you rinse your filter cartridge in tank water regularly and the flow of the filter is still good, you dont have to replace your filter. Its when it gets gunky and blocks the flow that you should change it, I would imagine its the same for that extra material, its always good to have that back up around.
