Canister Filter question...

This was posted in the DIY also but not in too much detail.

I have looked on google for "how" a canister filter works and the basket layouts and whatnot. I posted this as a DIY Canister filter. My LFS has a WP-1000 water pump (upto 1350GPH). Yes I understand a lot of that would be lost with all the media and filter types. This is a submersible or inline for $45. Would the type of filtration in that order be ok? Is there even an order you want to put it in?

Would this work?

Any other suggestions or tips are much appreciated. Also, thank you in advance.

when i got my fluval 305 it came preset with the media in the baskets and the directions said to keep the particular media in those baskets. I havent had problems yet.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up getting an Odyssea CFS4 rated up to 75Gal (317GPH) for $60. Came with all the media needed to start too. Just had to get an ammonia pad due to a little bit in the water when tested last. So far it seems to be working really nice. I would still like to build one though.

Thanks again.
