I tried putting in some old filter floss that I had left over from one of my Whisper filters. I want a head and put it in by the intake tube.

Can any one think of a way to do this? And that is CHEAP?

I got my bank statement yesterday and saw how much I have spent on my fish. Lets just say its over $50! Do not get me wrong I love them for sure.

Wish i could get away with 50$ a month, hehehehehe.

We cut sponges so they fit over the intake of the uplift tubes, to get the finer particles out and keep fry out of the filters.

What kind of sponges? My otos like resting on my filter intake and I'm just afraid they'll get caught one day

We use aquaclear filter sponges.

It was WAY over $50, it was $111 for a 10 gallon tank!!! Do not ask me how I did it. I would not have minded but I do not have a job as of now.

That sound GREAT!! What size filter sponge? The ones for the 20,30,50 aquaclears?

It would be very easy to spend that much properly setting up a 10, Andy.

You would probably faint if you knew how much I had invested in the fishhouse, equipment, livestock, books,,,,.
