Filter help please

I have a new tank(29 gallon) that am planning on having live plants in and am not sure what fish. I currently have a whisper 30 HOB filter and it was recomended that I get another or a better one. i do not have room for a second HOB filter but don't know anything about any other types of filters. Any suggestions on either a second or a better HOB?

I really like the Millienium filters.
They have a venturi tube that pulls air into the filter area so that you can grow both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria on your filter media.

They are shown about 1/4 down this page.

BTW, Kens Fish is an excellent source of aquarium equipment and food.

The Aquaclear 70 is a great filter. It keeps the water clean, is easy to setup, and is very quiet. It also functions like a canister with its 3 step filtration and you can use different media if you want unlike the Tetra HOB filters where you can only use the pads.

I am using the AquaClear 50 in both of my 29g tanks and it works out just fine. I prefer the AquaClear over most of the others including the whisper and topfin. But if we were to really compare most HOB filters, they would all pretty much pan out to be equal in quality and its mostly more of a personal choice as long as you get the right filter size for your tank.
Good luck with your tank!
