My DNS server is the address I left out in my previous post.
Hers is different and doesn't look like an IP address with all the numbers. Just single numbers separated by a . (dot)
That's likely to be the difference as to why she can log in and you can't. The DNS servers she's pointing to have picked up the new address, the ones you're pointing to have not.

Would I be right if I guessed she was pointing to 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2?

You could try changing your network adapter to point to different DNS servers, either the ones your daughter uses or to OpenDNS. If you do choose to try changing your DNS servers, regardless of what you try changing it to, OpenDNS has great instructions for doing so:

No, hers is 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.3

Instead of making those changes on my computer, is it possible waiting it out will work?

I don't know if this will be any help, but on Tuesday morning before work I tried the site and was finally able to get on. Then when I got to work I went to the address bar's down arrow and chose Fishlore.com off of the "remembered" list. It came up as page not found. I thought "that's odd" so I googled fishlore.com and clicked the link google provided. I got right in. I then closed IE relaunced and choose fishlore.com from the address bar list and got right in. I don't know if it was a coincidence or not, but it's worked fine since.

Waiting it out should work. As I mentioned earlier, most DNS servers update their cache every 48-72 hours from what I understand... so if the domain name move was completed on August 25th, I would expect it to start working sometime today or tomorrow.

If it's not working by Saturday, it might time to start looking at other options.

Hi John, good to see you back
My browser doesn't remember anything. I'm nuts that way. lol

Thanks mathas, I really appreciate all your help.
I'll wait. If it doesn't help, I'll start messing with the DNS thing.
Makes me nervous since I don't understand any of it.

Mike told me that there may just be some time needed for the internet to disseminate the new server information to all of the different ISPs. He said the process can be from a couple of seconds to a few days.

For the record, I am using a laptop running Vista and a wireless connection.

well lol

I haven't seen Ken yet, guess he's still having problems.
We were wondering if it's because of our rural locations that it's taking longer. I can't get any of the more popular big name internet providers.

Hey everyone.

Just to let you know. I did the nslookup thing that mathas to try it out (I was curious LOL) and I got something similar to Lucy's one. But at the end it's different.

Default server: Unknown
Address:

Server Unknown
Address:

But I have no trouble logging in to Fishlore... Weird and complicated stuff here. haha

Hope you get everything resolved soon, Lucy! We would miss you if you couldn't log in. But glad you still can log in through your daughter's desktop.

Well it sure is good to be back. I was going thru some serious withdrawl. The worst part was not knowing what was going on with the site. But I did find a couple of members who went to "Yahoo answers" (or something) and were asking what happened to the site, so I knew it wasn't just me who couldn't access the site.
