| Problem uploading pics Not sure what is happening, but suddenly unable to upload pics to my post. Could be a gremlin in the system - I've not had trouble before. I got a fatal error reading. Has any one else been having the same issue? |

| I had the same issues and seems you have to resize them all before they upload..I just uploaded to photobucket and used the pic addition link |

I reduced my pic down to 778kb before I tried. I'll try again in my algae post after downsizing further, but I'm sure this size hasn't been a problem before. |

| Could be something with the new server. I think our pics were automatically re-sized before.
Tony G. had a problem yesterday, once he resized them, it was fine. |

| I reduced the pic further to 365kb with no problem uploading. Maybe the size limit has lowered. |

| Good morning. Here is a link provided by Mike a while back that seems to still be up and running, for resizing pictures. It's free. Something you might want to check out. I know I've used resizing sites before a long time ago and they worked well. Maybe it will help a few members http://www.picresize.com/ |

Maybe it will help a few members http://www.picresize.com/ | Thanks for the link Aquarist48. Up to now, I've cropped to get the size down using a standard Windows function, and did the job. Just tested IResize from the link - very simple procedure without losing any of the pic, and takes the guesswork out of the process. |

| Yep, 500kb was the limit. I just doubled it to 1000kb since we have a bigger server now. |

| Hmmmm... The limit was 1000kb you guys said? My pics are 947kb and the dimensions are 200x1500 (the dimensions I needed to resize to on the old server) and I'm getting a fatal error message when I try to post.... |

| lol I use GIMP but it took me trial and error to find the size I needed to scale them to before, I've used Paint before but Gimp is easier for me to work with most of the time. |

| That's the same error I got last night.
My computer was running funky, so like I said, I thought it was me.
Restarted and poof, it was fine.
I'm sure Mike will see this and let us know.
Thanks for copying the message. It'll probably help him figure out what's going on. |

Nope restarting the computer didn't work... | Red - what are the filesizes on the pics? If they are over 1 mb you may get that error and you'll have to resize them before uploading. If I calculated correctly 11986001 bytes is over 10 mb. Did you have multiple attachments you were uploading at the time of the error? |

| Hi, 200 x 1500 is a really wide pic no? maybe it's a format issue, not overall size? just a thought. |

| I was having the same issue. I eventually gave up and uploaded them to tinypic then used the insert image function. The size of the photos I was trying to upload was relatively small too, under 1mb. |

So I dropped from 2000x1500 pixels to 1500x1125 pixels which is working fine. |
