Forum shutdowns

I've been noticing an increase in shutdowns. These are identical to the ones that happened the last time we overloaded the server, and the time before that, and the time before that... It's usually happening in the morning for me, between 6:20 and 6:40, Central.

happened to me yesterday at nite..first time for me in awhile..but wasnt for long..nothing today.. ...I just got the dishes done in that time frame

It's definitely been short. Twenty minutes, tops, before I can log back in, and usually shorter than that.
I'm actually kind of happy about this kind of thing. It means we're continuing to grow.

Yep we had 948 people on line at one time in Feb.
The bottom of the screen states we have tonight 786 online-662 of which are guests. Now is that not cool.

Yep, I think we are getting too big for the server they have us on. I'm looking to upgrade very soon to a more robust server.

Does FishLore have a store? It would be great to be able to advertise FishLore on a t-shirt and even more exciting to run into a fellow FishLorian at the LFS or anywhere else they might be wearing their FishLore t-shirt with pride.

And a great source of income to offset the cost of maintaining and upgrading the forum as well I would think.

I've had the same problem with vbulletin and rather large forums. It's so frustrating. When we switched to a more robust server, it definitely improved.
