Awaiting Activation?

Hello all!

I just tried to join this forum after just reading for several weeks, and seem to have encountered a problem. I originally created the username "Flynlow", and everything seemed fine, but I never received an activation email, and whenever I try to post, or even access my own profile, it says I "do not have permission to access that page".

So, I used my alternate email to re-register, and everything worked fine Could one of the moderators or admins please check my original account and let me know what I did wrong? Thank you very much. I don't typically use this alternate email anymore, so I'd like to use my original name/email if possible. Once its working, please feel free to delete this account.

Thanks!

Hi Lucy, thanks for the quick response!

I just did, and unfortunately, no it is not there.

Logged in as Flynlow, I was able to request my password to be reset, I received those emails fine, and changed my password, but the access denied bit didn't change whenever I tried to post or access my profile.

Is it possible to re-send the activation email to the address on the account?

Hmmm, I don't know. Mike will be on later, I'm sure he can advise you further.
Sorry I couldn't help.

No problem, thanks for trying .

I'm going to post an intro thread in Freshwater Beginners even though this isn't the permanent account, if that's ok.

Yep, that's fine.

If you don't mind this user name you can try to change your e-mail for this name since you should only have one account.

Yes, but if he requests the other name, it might already say it's taken.
I'm sure Mike will be able to work his magic.
