couple of problems - "you do not have permission"

Since the upgrade, I have been unable to use the quick reply box. When I hit the post button after typing my message, I get an error that says "you do not have permission to perform this action".

Also, when I am viewing a post with a thumbnail picture, I get the same error message when I click on the thumbnail to enlarge it.

Any ideas?

The new vBulletin seems to have some issues with keeping logged in. I had a similar problem at the martial arts forum that just did the same upgrade, but what I was being told was "You do not have permission to perform this action. Please log in and try again."

When you log in, do you click the "remember me" button, or are you logging in at a public place. It was always at a public place that was giving me this problem.

I am logging in from home, but have not been selecting the remember me option. I'll try that and see if it makes any difference.

I've not noticed any problems like that with the new vbulletin but i've got that box checked and maybe cookie settings come into it?

I wondered the same thing, but I haven't changed any of my cookie settings from before when everything worked fine. At any rate, using the remember me box has taken care of both issues, so CRISIS AVERTED!
