FIXED - New Look Forum Outdoes Old One !

Like many, the upgrade took me by surprise and not being able to log in using my old password, well let's just say after about an hour of trying to figure stuff out I was using language that would make a sailor blush!.. I am starting to realise though that this upgrade, even while it continues, will actually make Fishlore a lot more user-friendly and will give the site a much more polished look.

For those of you who, like me, were only able to program a VCR after hours of prayers, curses and almost shredding the manual, the new-look Fishlore may take some getting used to, but once you've started to figure it out, your feelings may change. I know the more I explore and figure stuff out, the more I like the upgrade.

BTW Mike, any chance of getting the spellcheck function back for us when posting?

Thanks for the positive post on the new forum Richard! I've not seen many of those yet, LOL! Still trying to hash out all the needed changes to make it functionally equivalent to the old forum. It will be bigger and better than ever once I complete all the changes and add the new features. Just wait and see.

Sorry Mike the pic of the posting page that shows the ABC setting at the top is not what shows when I'm posting a new topic or replying, as is the case now..all I can do at this point is add an icon from the fourteen choices listed below, and add an attachment.. the top of this page looks nothing like the one you posted since this one only shows the top bar( w/ Settings, FAQ etc), under which I see My Threads/ My Posts/ New Replies, and under that the thread title and off in the right corner, Logged in as Richard.. strange that my posting/ replying page is almost completely different to the one you posted the picture of

Under the MY SETTINGS link you need to enable the standard or WYSIWYG editor. Spellcheck should now be enabled: How Do I: Enable Spellcheck

thanks for adding a spell check, Mike. Firefox checks for me, but for the members with other browsers it's a great tool.
