FIXED - A few things to talk about!

Ok i just have a few things i wish to cover! one why cant we use our own pics a avatars. two whats with the limited smilys! three what do the fish helper, fish master things stand for and how do you move from one to the next? If anyone wishes to add or explain plz do cause im still kinda lost! Also do i have to go into each forum bored and look for what i posted or is there a button like before "show all replies to your posts"??

3.its still all the same but u can change it i changed mine from fish keeper to mentor :P
4. i liked it as it was and think that it should still have the unread topicas since my last visted etc.

The changes will take some getting used to. Like when I buy a new camera, I swear that I will never get the hang of it and use the old camera for awhile then all of a sudden.. Ive got the hang of it and love it. Im hoping that the same thing will apply to the new look here.
One thing that I do miss a lot, is the ability to click on the tabs that used to show " new replies to posts" and the "unread topics" tabs. It was very convenient for sure.. and will miss that very much. I wonder if that can be incorporated into the new software or maybe there is an easier way to find old posts and replies?
Also, I did enjoy the fact that we were able to use our own photos rather than the avatars that are avilable now.

PS.. Where is our spell check?? IM lost without the spell check!! And how do we use the smilies inside our threads hmmmmm... so much to learn!

A lot of the stuff I've been seeing people saying they miss from the old forum is just stuff that Mike needs to set up, but that takes time, so it may be awhile before he can, say, allow you to use your own avatars or whatever. So keep talkin' about it, and things will slowly change.

Capekate, I don't think there's a spellcheck on vBulletin. You should switch to using Firefox, it has its own spellcheck.

I have heard good and bad about the firefox. Im using the IE 7.7 ( I think). Im used to using my mac that is not up and running due to a fried internal ethernet card, and this is my husbands laptop that I am using now. Not sure if I should play around with his settings..
But... would it be hard to download the firefox? and would I still be able to switch back and forth between the firefox and IE? Probably not...

It's easy to download Firefox, and you should be able to readily switch between the two. They are two different programs. I have Firefox and Netscape. I understand not wanting to mess with your husband's settings, though.
You (and your husband) should know that Internet Explorer is a dangerous program to have running. It has a bunch of holes in it that allow viruses, worms, and the like to attack your computer easily.

I see the spell check icon, in the upper right hand corner beside the icons to make the message text box bigger or smaller.
