Dictionary of Fish and Aquarium Terms

I've been working on compiling a dictionary of sorts for fish and aquarium terms. I try to explain the terms in a way that even I can understand (I'm a little slow on the uptake). Thanks to Butterfly for the list of terms she wanted to see on there. Butterfly - hopefully I got them all.

It will always be a work in progress (so many terms and concepts not in it yet) and I've set up a form for submitting terms and/or definitions if you notice one that's missing. You can also use the form for telling me about corrections you think need to be made or clarifications...

Have you thought of including any of the fish related slang words/abbreviations we use a lot? Like MTS and so on...

This is a brilliant idea. Wonderful job Carol and Mike I wasn't here for a while so I wasn't able to help with the Dictionary, but I have some aquarium books that contain a lot of useful terms explained. I could go over the books and check if there are any terms needed to be added.

When I take a term definition from a book, should I provide reference info? Because that would be a direct quote, or at least a paraphrase.

When I go and use the spell check it says that the word 'killifish' isn't a word, could you maybe add it to the list please Mike?
