| | Moderator | Fraudulent FishLore Technical Support Email Just a heads up - I got one of those emails today but this time it was from FishLore Technical Support. It's like the paypal and <insert bankname here> emails to click here to update your account. It's easy to spoof a link and if you hover over the link you can see where the link is pointing and it most definitely was not fishlore.com. So, if you get one of these emails please don't click on any links or update any account info.
I will never ever ever ever ever send out an email asking anyone to do that. Banks and other places where you have an account most likely would not do that either. Be very careful before clicking links in emails!
Thanks,
Mike |

This has to do with your Fishlore account. This is a phishing scam trying to get your password for the site. They won't get any money out of the deal, but they sure could cause problems. |

| | Fish Keeper | I know but just in case they downloaded any password hacking technology when you click on the link and later when you go on to go to an online bank they record you password and username and steal all you money |

| | Fish Addict | We got a real interesting one the other day. Claimed to be a survey from Paypal.
The first part was just regular questions, no big deal.
The second part started out " now lets pretend to place an order ", with spaces for
name, address, phone, credit card & number.......... ect.
Nowdays you really have to be careful, the bad guys are getting smarter and more inventive. |

| | Fish Master | Have to say the mods do an awsome job with the spam (I never notice any)... I almost wouldn't have believe we had a problem, until I checked my blog a couple seconds ago, I've never had any comments on it but suddenly I've got more then 48 spammers... oyi.
A round of applause to mike and the mods. |

I've had the bogus ebay and paypal emails before and it was obvious what they were looking for. I was sitting here thinking what would anyone gain by getting my fishlore password? |
