Mike, i can not say how glad i am that you fixed the problem. what they did to you, was unhuman and very unprofessional. Isn´t there a way you could sue them, since you were actually paying them??

It was hrd for me as wel like others. I had gone to school for a few minuttes to pick up an admissions test, i get home and its gone. i emmidatly thought it was my computer and went to a coffe house and was told by pink and shawnie taht the tank had crashed.

As a fairly newbie to fishkeeping I did not realize how much I depended on the site until it was gone. Fishlore truly is the best fishkeeping site out there!

Mike I know it has all been said but once again I would like to say that I am glad you and yours are fine. You just gotta love the professionalism of some of the companies these days...nothing surprises me anymore. If there is anything that I can do to help I would be glad to. I think we all just love this site and depend on it and I for one would be glad to help out. All ya gotta do is say the word.

P.S. This problem might be on my end but the second page of this thread isn't sizing to the screen and I have to scroll sideways to see half the page. Don't know if this is a site thing or just my computer deciding to be quirky.

Thank you, Mike, for all the time, effort, research, etc. that you put into this website. I am sure that those answering this thread are just a percentage of those who have an appreciation for what you do for us all.
What the host did was terrible and completely unprofessional. I will also pass the word about it to other people. I'm sure it is safe to say that with methods such as that, they won't be in business much longer... Not if we can help it.
But, you did have a jump on getting a better server. That was good. It all worked out for the best in the end. Thank you again. Great job, Mike!

There are no words to express how appreciative we all are! Thank you for putting up with all the worries and headaches for a bunch of "strangers"! Most of us can now say we're not strangers any more, but you have taken it to the next level in many ways!

I did some research and found out bluehost dot com has done this to a few others with the same results. I even chatted a few lines with a bluehost tech support but he wouldn't give me the time of day.

Thank you, Mike!!! You must have been sweating it for a few days. I kind of understand, operating a much smaller board. It takes such a long time to transfer the database, and it's a scary thing to do. (At least for me, perhaps not for you since you know so much better what you're doing.)

WOO! FISHLORE! I'm glad we have our own server now. When I tried to talk with BlueHost they were the most inconsiderable pieces of fish waste I ahve ever tried to have a decent conversation with!

That's great to hear.. I was a little bummed when I routinely went to forum browse here and there was no fishlore at all! At least it came back up in time for me to get some help tonight on my ICH disaster in my tank!
