Read post/thread colour change?

I love the forum system, but does anyone else find the grey part of a read post really depressing?

I think this'll take loads of un-neccersary work though, it's just a thought.

Why not a happy colour, like blue?

It works well the way it does, it justmakes me a ltitle bit sad for some reason, lol!

I'm still trying to figure out the translation of the colors and icons on the side of the page (assuming we're talking about the same thing).

Orangey creamy yellow means unread, bright red means it's a 'hot thread' grey means no new posts, or you were the last to post. I think...

Computer colours..? For me, read posts are a closed envelope that's blue (albeit a greyish blue)

As I understand, a 'hot thread' has 15 replies or more or has been looked at 150 times...read that somewhere....
