He gets recommendations from the other mods and you have to be giving correct advice and a few other things, just PM him and ask him what it all takes.

All I did was give accurate, neutral, unbiased advice anytime I could. I think it takes openmindedness, and the ability to realize one's own way is not necessarily the only or the correct way, if there is a correct or incorrect way. I think it takes fishkeeping being looked at as an art not a science, also.

People skills are also important, I'd assume. But of course I do not speak for what Mike looks for, as I don't know much about him yet. There are lots of sites that people leave just because the people are very knowledgable, but rude.
