Jeff,
Its a hard tank to scape. I originally bought it for seahorses and that wasn't too hard as the horses would swim all levels, and was easy enough to add various sized rock and decorations.
I bought a small (20") dual Satellite CF for it to keep a few soft corals in with the horses and it does an amazing job of getting light down into the bottom of this tank.
I'm not using it now though, as I kept having power issues and blew one of its ballasts again. They get expensive to replace if you have to do it regularly.
Now that I've gone freshwater I've had the
aquascaping issues. I feel for you. The small piece of
driftwood I have in it just isn't tall enough. The fake plants are ok, but I prefer the natural look. I'd love to put some live plants in it but I'd have to go back to the other light and I just can't without running some additional outlets.
I think it would look really nice with a larger piece of driftwood exactly like what is in there now, and some very tall live plants growing up around it.
The angels are back in the 75gal until some pair up and start mating. Then I'll move a few back into this tank permanently. Hopefully I'll have the
aquascape done before then. The way the angels are going I think I have some time.
