| They are about 5 in. I think, from the pic she sent me. The tank is so cloudy you can barely see the fish. The guy with the 90 just faccebooked me & got pretty snotty saying that he told me he's too busy for that right now. So for lack of a better way to put it - I'm screwed. |

| He's giving me the 90 for free, he's a tank specialist actually. He upkeeps people's SW tanks for them.
The only thing is is that I have to pay $20 for these 2 Oscars & teh 10 gal. tank. Which is a little steep for something I may not even be able to keep myself. That's the one thing that's holding me back. |

| well 20 bucks would be money well spent i spend more then that on beer man atleast if they were in a tub they would have more room with fresh water |

| In my area it's hard to find a 10 gal for under $20. If you can save the oscars and get the tank for that then I'd say it's probable work it. I know oscars grow fast and if you can't keep them you can't, but at only 5" right now you could sneak them in almost any size tank until the 90 gal is up and running.
It'll be your call and you'll do what's right for you.
HUGS! It's a tough situation. |

| I just called her & talked her down to $10.
My b/f is beyond mad at me, along with my mom.
So basiclly, these fish are causing a lot of drama in my life. But at least they're not going to be flushed down a toilet. |

| If I cana get the 90 gal. within a reasonable time, I will. But unless I get at least a 55 gal. to house them for now, I can't humanely keep them. |

| Well, here's the update:
Yesterday, Joe went to pick up the fish. He said that the tank was so cloudy & dirty that he couldn't see the two 6" Oscars that were contained in it. He siphoned the water from the tank into my bucket, as to avoid Old Tank Syndrome. As he was emptying the rest of the tank out, he found a live pleco in the gravel - the woman said she forgot that it was in there. The pleco is around 5".
When he got them home, neither was swimming, both were laying on their sides in the bottom of the bucket. My mom acclimated them, but made the decision that they needed to be put in clean water immediatly.
The woman also gave my boyfriend one of those really TALL bubbling tubes that glow many different colors - you're supposed to put FAKE floating fish in them. Well, she put LIVE comets in it. Needless to say they all died.
I am happy to report that there is a Common pleco, an Albino Red Oscar & a Tiger Oscar swimming in my 29 gal. tank. As of tight now they will not come to the surface to eat, and are very shy. They are eating sinking pellets.
I have many pics, I will upload ASAP. |

I hope you get the 90g soon. If not perhaps your LFS would take them? |

Like moving out of a mud puddle into a crystal clear swimming pool
Good luck Amanda! |

| An update fot John-
The tiger is VERY shy still. He just hides underneath the albino all the time. But the Albino is slowly learning to come to the top of the tank to eat. So I feel like we're slowly getting somewhere. The pleco is doing just fine, I have to go out & get him a zucchini today. |
