Hey guys, hopefully someone can help me out here. I really want to set up a sponge filter. I'm probably going to get my stuff from Ken's because he is the only seller that sells the Hydro sponge filter I want (as far as I can tell, and I'm probably going to get some food from him too). I'm getting the #3, which is rated up to 40g. I'm looking through powerheads, and the Marineland Maxi jet or Penguin will probably be what I'm getting. However, I really want to make sure that I will be able to connect it. thanks!

This is a DIY co2 reactor/sponge filter, since you don't have co2 you can just use it as a filter.

You'll need a Maxi Jet 600 powerhead, Eheim prefilter pad for model 2227 wet/dry filtration system since you don't need co2 you won't need the python cleaning tube nor the other sponge that fits inside.
