Well, we lost our little mama platy Daisy today.. she's been fighting fish pox and broke out with bad ulcers this week that quickly grew fungus. She died this morning, still trying her best to be herself. She'll be missed - the little stomach with fins who loved to take everyone's food.

Thats horrible! Poor thing. YOu still have the fry right? Perhaps you could keep one of them, it would not be exactly Daisy, but atleast it would be her daughter/son. Brianna

I hope at least one of her fry make it, they've just steadily been dying off. i'm afraid they were the result of pet store inbreeding and are less than healthy, most didn't last more than a week They're big enough now that we put them into the adult tank to at least have them in a cycled tank and see if they can make it.

thanks. she was a great little mama and the funniest platy when it came to food time.. if we hadn't named her already, she would've been ms. pac-man for sure from her eating habits. i see it in one of her remaining fry and if that one makes it to adult-hood, she's daisy jr.
