I lost my rubber lip pleco today

I got him about 2 1/2 weeks ago he never seemed to settel in to my community tank he always hung out on the glass next to my thermometer on the front of the tank I had started to wonder if he had been eating since he was always there except for a couple of times in the morning I found him on the glass at the back of the tank. My wife said he was on the glass and then he slid off slowly and was dead. I dont know why he died maybe he never got over the stress of moving tanks from the LFS to my house.

I'm sorry that you lost him. They are pretty sensitive to water conditions and I'd do a water test just to be on the safe side.

I did test my water and everything was still at my normal readings nothing unusual and i use the API master test kit.

I had a hard time getting mine to eat. I rearranged the tank and gave him more hiding spots and right before lights out He got a piece of cucumber I zapped in the microwave for a few second to soften it up. I never see him eating, but I see him deficating a lot so he's eating something. I never saw him deficate until I started the cucumber. I was worried because he looked thin and pale until I started it.
